Using descriptions

Once upon a time there was a boy. He lived with his Mum. In a cottage. He was poor. They lived far outside the village. The village was in a castle. One day Jack the boy went to the nice village to sell the cow. Then an old man appeared and gave Jack glowing green magic beans. When he got home his mother threw the beans out the window. It grew over night to a big as beanstalk. When Jack woke up he wanted to climb it. He climbed it. He took hours. When Jack got to the top he saw a big diamond castle in front of him. He got in the castle. He saw a fat giant and a chicken that lays golden… eggs! He also saw a golden harp. First he stole the harp and woke up the giant. The giant chased Jack out of the castle and said “Never come back!” He climbed as quick as a cheetah. He put the lovely golden harp next to the window. It sang as beautifully as an angel. The next day … Jack... climbed the ...beanstalk quietly but he stole the... chicken and woke up the giant again. The giant shouted ” Enough! “ as loudly as a lion’s roar. The ...giant climbed...down. Jack got down first. He called his mum to get an axe. When the giant was almost down, Jack cut the beanstalk down. The giant died and Jack and his mum were never poor again. And they lived happily ever afterOnce upon a time there was a boy. He lived with his Mum. In a cottage. He was poor. They lived far outside the village. The village was in a castle. Splitting Numbers

It was easy to split the numbers because I know 47+3=50 but I only took 3 away from the 5 so
I add 2 more so 50+2=52.

Character Connection

I have made a postcard to show that I have made a connection with a character in a story. It was easy because I found words and clues in the story. It reminds me of me having a sport to do. I could write another postcard to a character.

Skipton Castle

Me and my mum painted it white so it would not just be white

On the holidays me and my Mum went to my poppas house. When I got there Gracie and Bella hugged me. Gracie, Bella and poppa went out. Me and  Mum made a castle out of white cardboard. When me and my mum were finished we waited for an hour or two. When it was finished we took it home.

Making a Connection

I am learning to describe the characters in the story and make a connection. I had a little bit of trouble thinking of the words. I was able to think about things I do like the characters in the story. Next steps for me are to find words in the story that describes the characters.

Fullstops and capital letters

I am learning to put fullstops and capital letters in the right place. It was easy to put the fullstops. It takes a long time to read if you don't put in the fullstops. I have to check my writing first.
